FEES FOR SERVICE

Payment is due at time of service. Accepted payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

Please note: If you need to postpone your appointment, you are required to give at least one business day (24 hours) advance notice. The full fee will be charged for all appointments that are canceled without at least 24 hours’ notice, as well as any missed appointments.

INSURANCE

The doctor-patient relationship takes time, and it is the most important aspect of my practice at Synchrony Integrative Psychiatry. That is why I operate on a fee-for-service basis. I am not paneled with any commercial insurance companies; however, Synchrony Psychiatry is an “out-of-network provider,” which means patients can submit receipts for reimbursement by utilizing any out-of-network insurance benefits. 

• Many patients receive 30-80% reimbursement by their insurance plans. 

• Synchrony provides a comprehensive receipt, called a “super bill,” to submit directly to insurance companies after each appointment.

REIMBURSEMENT DETAIL

Insurance companies use two codes to determine what they will pay for a medical service: a diagnosis code that starts with a letter of the alphabet, and a billing code (CPT) for the specific type of visit. To help you check with your insurer about the rate of reimbursement included in your plan, here are typical diagnostic and billing code pairs used by Synchrony Integrative Psychiatry. 

Sample diagnostic code: F41.1 (generalized anxiety disorder)

Sample billing (CPT) codes: 

New Patient Visit (NPV), 60-90 minutes: 90792 GT*

Follow-Up Appointments: 99213 GT*, 99214 GT*

Typical follow-up visits include an Evaluation and Management (E/M) code paired with the above codes. The E/M code for psychotherapy is 90836, so a sample follow-up visit code is 99213 GT + 90836. 

*GT denotes telehealth appointments
